Where Oxford Meets Korea: The Walking Tour
In partnership with the Korea Tourism Organization
Embark on a captivating journey into Korean history and arts right in the heart of Oxford, guided by a Blue Badge Tourist Guide.
In collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization, we extend a warm invitation to join us for a walking tour of Oxford, where you'll uncover the hidden stories of Korean history and arts.
In Oxford, you will find lesser-known collections and meaningful historical ties between the UK and Korea waiting to be explored. For instance, we'll also have a stop at St Mary Magdalen Church, commemorating the bravery of British soldiers who played a part of the UN force in the Korean War, as this year marks the 70th anniversary of the war's conclusion.
The walking tour will commence at 11 am and conclude at 12:30 pm. Since we'll be covering all locations on foot, we recommend that participants come prepared with comfortable footwear and plenty of energy.
To participate, kindly complete the application form linked below by no later than 16 October. Our computer software will randomly select participants and notify them via email. We'll also create a waiting list, and if any selected participant cancels, we will offer the available spot to the next person on the waiting list, and so forth.
