The Venerable Beop Song became a Buddhist nun under the tutelage of Venerable Seongkwan in 1996. She has refined her practice of temple cooking with the guidance of master monks and nuns who have a deep foundational knowledge of the cuisine. Venerable Beop Song seeks to make the mindful cooking and eating methods of temple food accessible to people through sharing and teaching at various institutions and touring all over the world. Her latest publications include Beop Song’s Korean Temple Food with Seaweed (2021) and Korean Temple Food with Root Vegetables (2021).

Join the Venerable Beop Song for a demonstration of plant-based dishes using seaweed that illustrate the care and thought that goes into temple food. This demonstration will include recipes for Tot (hijiki) rice, Dried laver & chilli chips mix, and Sliced radish soup.

Unfortunately, the in-person attendance for this event is now fully booked, but you can enjoy the livestream of the event by registering at the booking link.
