June Lee, Violin

June Lee, South Korean violinist from Seoul, is currently studying her course ’master of performance’ at the Royal College of Music in London under the tutelage of professor Itzhak Rashkovsky. She graduated from Yewon School and entered the university a year early while attending Seoul Arts High School. Ms. Lee finished her Bachelor Degree, Master Degree and Artist Diploma under Professor Sung-ju Lee and Koichiro Harada in the Korea National University of Arts. Her musical achievements range from soloist performed with KBS symphony Orchestra, Romania Bacau Philharmonic Orchestra, Yonsei Sinfonietta, KNUA Symphony Orchestra and performed ‘Work’ by Kim Yong-geol Dance Theater as a violin soloist at Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. She also performed at Great Mountain Music Festival ‘Rising Star series’, KNUA Violin series Recital and Chosun il-bo debut Concert. Ms. Lee is a member of Joy of strings from 2007 performed at European tour 2013, Belgium 2014 and Japan 2015 and attended a recording 'Slavic Sketches' published by Universal Music. As a member of Ensemble Pan played at Berlin Konzert Haus organised by Korean Cultural Centre. She also participated numerous recordings of K-pop albums and film music like ‘Parasite’(2019). Upon coming London, Ms.Lee was concertmaster of RCM Symphony orchestra and selected for the London Symphony Orchestra string experience scheme in 2021.

Kiok Son, Violin

Currently in her final year of postgraduate performance degree in the Royal College of Music in London, Kiok Son is a violinist from Korea. Kiok started with the violin at the age of 12 and continued playing through undergraduate degree studying under Professor Jiyoon Ahn in Korea. While studying at university in Korea, Kiok was a part of the Sejong String Chamber Orchestra in 2017. And also she got the opportunity to perform a concerto concert with Sejong Chamber Orchestra in 2018. After the performing in Korea, she accepted her offer from the Royal College of Music in London to pursue a Master of Performance degree, studying under Professor Radu Blidar. Being an ardent orchestral musician, Kiok has performed with Chamber Orchestra with members of COE and Symphony Orchestra with&Chorus with Thomas Zehetmair in the Royal College of Music.

Hattie Quick, Viola

British violist Hattie Quick is a Linbury Scholar at The Royal College of Music where she studies with Andriy Viytovych. After completing her musical studies at the The Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she held Junior Guildhall’s Viola Scholarship, Hattie went on to study at The Yehudi Menuhin School under Boris Kucharsky. As well as giving many solo performances, Hattie has an extensive orchestral repertoire. She has been principal violist of various orchestras including The Yehudi Menuhin School Orchestra, The Junior Guildhall Symphony Orchestra and String Ensemble, The Apollo Philharmonic Orchestra, The Magna Carta Orchestra, and RCM’s String Band with whom she recorded Arensky’s Variations on a Theme by Tchaikovsky. Hattie was also a member of The National Youth Orchestra and recorded Holst’s The Planets and Strauss’ Also Sprach Zarathustra for Chandos Records aged fourteen. Hattie has received masterclass from Maxim Rysanov and Isabel Villanueva and conducting masterclasses from Mark Wigglesworth. She has performed under renowned conductors including John Wilson, Ilan Volkov, Sir Mark Elder, Nicholas Collon, Kristjan Järvi and Edward Gardner, with performances at prestigious concert venues, such as The Royal Albert Hall BBC Proms, Barbican Centre, Symphony Hall Birmingham, Bridgewater Hall Manchester, Leeds Town Hall, Philharmonic Hall Liverpool, The Sage Gateshead, Victoria Hall Stoke on Trent, Snape Maltings, Cadogan Hall, Milton Court, St Martin-in-the-Fields and Konzerthaus Berlin. Hattie recently toured Switzerland and Spain with The Menuhin School Orchestra, giving concerts at The Gstaad Menuhin Festival, Auditorio de Zaragoza, Juan March Foundation, Pablo Casals Auditorium and Conservatorio Superior de Valencia under Oscar Colomina i Bosch. Also an avid chamber musician, Hattie has performed across England and Spain and received public masterclasses from Ralph de Souza and Robert Levin.

Jaeyoung Choi, Cello/Artistic director

Jaeyoung is Korean cellist and currently in the final year of postgraduate degree at Royal College of music in London, studying under Amanda Truelove. She started playing cello at the age of 8 and continued through her undergraduate studies in Korea, where she studied with Minji Kim, Soyun Kim and Jaroslaw Domzal. Jaeyoung has performed in masterclasses with Kyungok Park, Marcio Carneiro, Gemma Rosefield, Nicholas Jones and Toke Molrup. She performed extensively as an orchestral musician. While studying undergraduate degree, she performed as principle cellist in the Opera ‘Nabucco’ under conductor Daniele Agiman and as a visiting cellist in Daegu MBC Symphony Orchestra. And Jaeyoung played in London City Philharmonic Orchestra and I Maestri Orchestra, and RCM Opera Orchestra (conductor Michael Rosewell), RCM Symphony Orchestra (conductor Thomas Zehetmair) and RCM Chamber Orchestra with members of COE. Jaeyoung also interested in collaborating with art areas. She has performed with numerous dance companies and currently in the music director of Choi Dance Company. And planning to collaborate with many renowned artists including artist Sangjig Moon.

Sangjig Moon, The Korean Fine Arts Association

Sangjig Moon is korean artist. He is widely known as sheep artist. He started drawing ‘sheep’ in the 1990s and has been drawing ‘sheep’ for more than 20 years in Palgonsan. He shows various backgrounds and the impression of a colour with the drawing ‘sheep’. His drawing of sheep is not a simple drawing of animal, and he wants to show people’s life through sheep in his drawing.

He had solo exhibitions in many countries, such as New York, Japan, Russia and Turkey. He was awarded numerous prizes, such as Geumbok Culture Art (1999), Misul Segye Artist Award(2007), Daegu city invited Award (2007), Culture Arts Awards (2011), Daegu Arts Awards (2012), Korean Jeongsu Art Contest(2015) and awards from Keimyung University(2016). These awards indicate that he is not only successful as an artist but also recognized as having contributed to culture and art. He was worked as North and South Korea Art Exchange Promotion Chairman, Korean Art Exhibition of operating · Juror, Daegu Grand Art Exhibition Administration Committee, Chief Juror of Chungsoo Grand Art Exhibition, Korean Fine Arts Association Advisory Committee, Monthly Art Magazine Misul Segye Advisory, Member of the Administration Committee of Korea painting Grand Art Exhibition, Member of the Administration Committee of Asian Women Art Grand Art Exhibition, NAAF-East and North Asia Art Exhibition Organization Committee Korea International Art Association of steering committee. He is currently in Republic of Korea ecological capital, Suncheon honorary ambassador, Palgongsan artists president and Korea Chungsoo Cultural Academy of Arts Director.
