Amarins Wierdsma, Violin
Amarins Wierdsma,Born in Utrecht in 1991 to a musical family, began playing the violin at the age of two. Her teachers have included Coosje Wijzenbeek, Vera Beths and David Takeno. Amarins has taken part in courses including: IMS Prussia Cove, The International Holland Music Sessions among several others. Amarins has won several prizes at important violin events, such as the "Iordens Viooldagen", "Davina van Wely Violin Competition", "Princess Christina Competition" Young Musician of the Year 2007 and, in 2013, the national "Oskar Back Violin Competition" in Amsterdam. Amarins is the first violinist of the award winning Barbican String Quartet. In May 2017 Amarins will be touring for the series New Masters on Tour.

Lyrit Milgram, Violin
Canadian violinist Lyrit Milgram is a Brian George Coker scholar currently enrolled in her second year of Masters at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London studying under Professor Krysia Osostowicz. As an orchestral player, Lyrit has played with orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra on the String Experience Scheme, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the Welsh National Opera, the Royal Northern Sinfonia and the Scottish Ensemble and has toured as principal second violin with the Youth Orchestra of the Americas in South America and the Carribean. Lyrit is also an active soloist and chamber musician. In these capacities, she has played in concert halls in London such as the Barbican Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall as well as others in Europe and North America. Previously, Lyrit did her Bachelor degree at the Royal College of Music in London where she was a Soirée D’or and Dasha Shenkman scholar. She studied with Professors Radu Blidar and Itzhak Rashkovsky.

Joon Yoon, Piano
Korean pianist Joon Yoon made his solo debut at age 12 in Korea and concerto debut at age 13 in the USA. Joon has performed in venues such as Petit Palau of Palau de la Musica Catalana, Alice Tully and Paul Hall of Lincoln Center, and Recital Hall of Seoul Arts Center among others to name. As an avid chamber musician, he has collaborated with prestigious musicians such as current and former members of the Guarneri, Juilliard, and Ying quartets. His most recent success at competitions include 2nd and audience prize at the Concurso Internacional Piano Campillos in Spain(2016), and 5th prize at the Iowa Piano Competition in the USA(2015). His teachers and greatest musical influences are Yong Hi Moon, Robert McDonald, and Hung-Kuan Chen. He is a graduate of Yale School of Music and The Juilliard School under full scholarship, and is continuing his studies at the Guildhall School in London as an Artist Diploma candidate with Ronan O’Hora.

Alex McFarlane, Viola
New Zealand violist Alexander McFarlane is currently studying with David Takeno towards an Artist Diploma at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. As a soloist, Alex has performed much of the viola concerto repertoire with orchestras including the University of London Symphony Orchestra, King’s College London Symphony Orchestra, Nelson Symphony Orchestra and St Matthew’s Chamber Orchestra. In 2017 he won the Gisborne International Music Competition, and in 2015 he reached the final of the International Brahms Competition in Austria. Alex is also an experienced chamber musician, having performed in venues including the Barbican Hall, the Wigmore Hall and St-Martin-in-the-Fields. As an orchestral player, Alex has performed side-by-side with the London Symphony Orchestra and the Australian Chamber Orchestra, he has worked with both of New Zealand’s professional orchestras, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra. Alex is grateful for support from the Hattori Foundation, the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Ben Tarlton, Cello
Born in 1995 in Wales, Ben studied with Sharon McKinley and Alexander Baillie before attending the Yehudi Menuhin School in 2011 to study with Thomas Carroll. In 2014, he received a scholarship to The Guildhall School of Music and Drama to study with Louise Hopkins.Whilst at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Ben has participated in numerous chamber projects in Milton Court and The Barbican Hall. He has also performed as part of The New Music Ensemble in a BBC ‘total immersion’ broadcast. In November 2016, he was one of two soloists to play for The LSO’s Donatella Flick conducting competition semi-finalists, with The Guildhall Symphony Orchestra. Recently, he has been chosen to participate in a workshop playing with Janine Jansen the Mendelssohn octet.
