Juhee Yang
Juhee Yang, born in South Korea, moved to England at the age of 3 and started the violin at the age of 6. She first joined the Purcell School of Music, UK aged 9 with a full scholarship supported by the UK government’s Music and Dance Scheme after winning numerous prizes at music festivals and competitions. In 2014, Juhee led the school’s symphony orchestra at Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall with Colin Metters. Later on, that year, she won the concerto competition and performed with the orchestra as a soloist at the Watford Colosseum with Jacques Cohen. During her 2 years at the school, she played in numerous concerts with her string quartet including the Deal Festival in Kent, the Wigmore Hall Chamber Concert and received coaching from members of the Sacconi, Chilingirian Quartets. Juhee won the Arthur Felsenstein Leavers Award in 2015 before starting her studies with Professor Itzhak Rashkovsky. Currently she is studying at the Royal College of Music with Mark Messenger with a full scholarship supported by the Soiree d'Or
Maria Tarasewicz
Maria, born in the Ukraine, studied initially in Warsaw before completing her Degree at the Royal
Conservatoire of Brussels with Boyan Vodenitcharov and at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Michael Dussek. Already she has gained an enviable reputation as a chamber musician, duo partner and a pedagogue. The depth and quality of Maria’s credentials can be judged through the collaborations she has had with many great international artists, includingIvry Gitlis, Maxim Vengerov, Gavriel Lipkind, Dora Schwarzberg, Leonid Kerbel, Truls Mørk, Vladimir Perlin, Leonid Gorokhov, Gabriele Ragghianti, Paul Gulda, Paul Badura- Skoda and Hogon Austbo. She has also participated in many international musical festivals including Summeracademy Voksenåsen in Norway, Jersey International Masterclass and Festival, San Marino Strings Academy, Musica Mundi in Belgium, V Music Home Festival in Guangzhou in China, Lucca Festival in Italy, the Stavanger Youth Chamber Festival in Norway and the Three Choirs Festival in England. Maria has performed in all of London’s major concert venues including Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, Royal Albert Hall and many others. She also appears regularly on BBC Radio 3.
