Bio

Seungbin Lee is a Korean pianist born in 1987, and educated at Busan Arts Middle school, where she achieved first place, Seoul Arts High School, and BMus at Sook Myung Women’s University. She graduated in 2017 with a Professional Diploma in London at the Royal Academy of Music, having studied year-in (BMus), and graduated with an MA in piano performance in 2013.

Winner of a National Gifted and Talented Scholarship, she went on to win many competitions in Korea, for example, E-Won Culture International Music Festival, Jinhae Festival, Busan Music competition, and World symphony competition. In UK she was the outstanding gold medallist in the Marlow Music Festival and was highly commended in EPTA(European Piano Teachers Association) competition. Recently she also won the silver prize in the competition sponsored by Korea Business for Culture and Arts Association, and the first prize of the Music Education Newspaper publishing company.

She has performed in Korea as the youngest soloist in Changwon City orchestra “Youth concerto evening” and in UK as a prizewinner of the Marlow Festival. In2014 she held a recital in Seoul, in Perigee Hall. At the Royal Academy of Music she studies under Michael Young, Amandine Savary. She performedBeethoven 32 Sonatas, 32 Pianist, in David Josefowitz Recital Hall, Piano Festival-Concert which is collaboration with modern dancers in Museum Piano Gallery and recently she had solo recital at St James’s Church.

She has had master classes with Bryce Morrison, Ian Fountain, Pascal Roge, Orit Wolf and Christopher Elton.
