Anna Lee violin
Born in Seoul, Anna started learning the violin at the age of six. In 2002, she moved over to the UK and studied with Lutsia Ibragimova for two years before being accepted into the Yehudi Menuhin School with a full scholarship. She started her studies with Natasha Boyarsky and performed in the school’s Summer Orchestral Concerts, the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad, Thaxted Music Festival, Leamington Hastings and the Royal Festival Hall. She has completed her Bachelor of Music degree at the Royal College of Music with First Class Honours and has furthered her musical studies with Radu Blidar from September 2016 until the present, having just finished her Masters in Performance with Distinction and starting her Artist Diploma degree in September 2018. Anna is an Ian Stoutzker Prize Scholar supported by a Joan Weller Scholarship for her studies at the Royal College of Music.
Kumi Matsuo piano
Kumi was born in Tokyo, Japan. Winner of the 5th Louisiana International Piano Competition in 2013, she won Second Prize at the 75th Music Competition of Japan in 2006, Third Prize at the 22nd Ferrol International Piano Competition in 2008 and First Prize at the 6th Isidor Bajic International Piano Competition in 2012. In 2007, she moved to London to further her study at the Royal College of Music where she has gained an Artist Diploma and a Master of Music in Performance supported by the Charles Napper Award, the Russell Gander Award and the Rohm Music Foundation. Kumi has also finished the Anthony Saltmarsh Junior Fellow in Accompaniment at the Royal College of Music.
