- Venue: Korean Cultural Centre UK
- Free admission, RSVP Required
Renowned translator of the International Booker Prize shortlisted novel Cursed Bunny, Anton Hur returns with his debut novel ‘Toward Eternity’.
Toward Eternity explores the unexpected consequences of progress, imagining when technology is catching up with biology. It is a thought-provoking novel that challenges the notion of what makes us human—and how love survives even the end of that humanity.
During the event, Clare Richards, the co-translator of BTS: Beyond the Story will be moderating the event, talking about his inspiration, imagination and themes behind the novel. An in-person event at the Korean Cultural Centre, join us for a discussion about this upcoming debut novel.
“Anton Hur emerges as one of the most exciting translators, and now authors, of our generation. Toward Eternity develops a surreal and subversive terrain of nanite swarms, exploding memories, and symphonic poetry.”
— E. J. Koh, author of The Liberators
Toward Eternity
Exploring the nature of intelligence and the unexpected consequences of progress, the meaning of personhood and life, and what we really have to fear from technology and the future, Toward Eternity is a gorgeous, thought-provoking novel that challenges the notion of what makes us human—and how love survives even the end of that humanity.
