2022 Sheffield Korean Illustrated Poetry Contest

The Korean Studies programme at the University of Sheffield is hosting a Korean illustrated poetry contest to promote Korean language learning in partnership with Korean Air and Korean Cultural Centre UK.
What is an illustrated poem?
Entries should comprise a poem in Korean on any topic of your choice, accompanied by an illustration such as a drawing, computer graphic or photograph. The poem and illustration together should fit on one A4 page. Please also submit an English translation and brief explanation. You can see some samples on this link.
Eligibility
Anybody who learns Korean as a foreign language is welcome to enter.

All submissions must be sent as an email attachment to yeon.j.kim@sheffield.ac.uk.

- Grand prize - One Korean Air return ticket to Korea
- Gold award - £200 gift voucher
- Silver award - £100 gift voucher
- Bronze award - £50 gift voucher
Use of submissions
By their participation, contest entrants agree that their poems submitted may be used by the Korean Studies programme of the University of Sheffield for purposes of promotion, advertising, and written and electronic documentation.
