From the New World is the ninth symphony of Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, composed during his time as director of the National Conservatory of Music of America in New York. Deeply moved by the vast landscapes and cultural diversity of late 19th-century America, Dvořák infused this work with both the rhythms of the New World and the soul of his Bohemian heritage.
