2025 New Generation Art Exhibition: Emerging Voices

The Korean Cultural Centre UK is pleased to announce an open call for emerging Korean artists for the upcoming exhibition 2025 New Generation Art Exhibition: Emerging Voices. We invite applications from talented artists who are shaping the future of contemporary Korean art.

This open call aims to discover emerging talents for 2025 New Generation Art Exhibition: Emerging Voices, highlighting experimental and creative practices that reflect the vision and diversity of a new generation of artists.

○ Open theme

Exhibition Format
○ Group exhibition

Exhibition Dates
○ 27 November 2025 – Mid-February 2026 (exact dates to be confirmed)

Support Provided
○ Exhibition space and invigilation
○ Exhibition opening event
○ Issuance of a certificate of participation
○ Promotional support via KCCUK channels (press release in Korean and English, social media, etc.)
○ Participant support fee of £250 for selected artists
※ Support may be subject to change depending on KCCUK’s circumstances.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
○ Be of Korean nationality or Korean heritage
○ Have graduated from a UK-based art school (BA, MA, or PhD)
○ Be aged 18 or over
○ Have exhibited at least once (solo or group, in the UK or internationally)
○ Submit works produced within the past 5 years (works previously shown at KCCUK are not eligible)
○ All fine art genres are welcome; however, artists are responsible for all costs not covered by KCCUK, including production, transportation, equipment, installation and deinstallation.

Application Deadline
○ Monday 1 September 2025, 11:00 PM (GMT)

Required Documents
All documents must be submitted as a single PDF file (max. 7MB) including links for any videos.
1. Artist Biography (max. 500 characters)
2. Portfolio (up to 5 works, max. 3 images per work)
- Include: title, materials, dimensions, year, technical requirements
- For video, sound, or performance: a video link (max. 5 mins) and still images
3. Artwork Statement (max. 1,500 characters)

Notes
○ Do not submit original artworks.
○ Individual feedback and returns of materials are not possible.
○ Incomplete submissions may be excluded from consideration.

Selection and Results
○ Selected by a panel of external curators and art professionals
○ Results will be announced on the KCCUK website in mid-September 2025.
