온라인 한반도평화포럼(Korea Peace Forum)

이번 행사는 한반도의 평화 통일 노력과 필요성을 영국 사회내에 널리 알리고자 하는 것과 동시에 최근 정체상태에 있는 남북협력과 한반도 평화구축의 방안에 대해서 심도 있는 논의를 하는 데 주된 목적이 있습니다.

포럼은 박은하 대사의 개회사와 박종범 민주평통 유럽부의장, Sir Ed Davey 자유민주당 대표, Lord Browne of Ladyton 상원의원의 축사로 시작합니다.

첫 번째 세션은 “북아일랜드 평화프로세스와 남북관계”를 주제로 임소진 랭카셔대 교수의 사회로 김동진 트리니티대 교수 발제하고 김경묵 와세다대 교수와 David Mitchell 트리니티대 교수가 토론자로 참여할 예정입니다.

두 번째 세션은 “한반도 평화 구축을 위한 국제사회의 역할”을 주제로 김영미 에딘버러대 교수의 사회로 Michael Schluter RPI회장이 발제하고 John Delury 연세대 교수와 정진호 한동대 교수가 토론자로 참여할 예정입니다.

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the UK and the National Unification Advisory Council (NUAC) in the UK jointly will hold the Peace Forum on the Korean Peninsula via online

The Korean Embassy in the United Kingdom and the National Unification Advisory Council (NUAC) in the UK will jointly hold the Peace Forum on the Korean Peninsula on November 28, 2020 (Sat), 13:00 to 15:00, to seek ways to establish peaceful inter-Korean relations with experts from Korea and the UK through an online conference system.

The main purpose of this event is to inform the British community about the efforts and necessity of peaceful unification on the Korean peninsula, and to discuss in-depth discussions on the recent stagnant inter-Korean cooperation and measures to establish peace on the Korean peninsula.

The forum begins with the opening remarks of Ambassador Enna Park and congratulatory remarks by Jong-bum Park, Vice-Chairman of the NUAC Europe, Sir Ed Davey, Leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, and Lord Browne of Ladyton.

The first session will be a discussion under the theme of “Northern Ireland Peace Process and Inter-Korean Relations” moderated by Professor Sojin Lim of Lancashire University, and presented by Professor Dongjin Kim of Trinity University, and Professor Kyungmook Kim of Waseda University and David Mitchell of Trinity University will participate as debaters.

The second session will be a discussion under the theme of “The Role of the International Community to Build Peace on the Korean Peninsula”, moderated by Professor Youngmi Kim of Edinburgh University, and presented by RPI Chairman Michael Schluter, and Professor John Delury of Yonsei University and Professor Jinho Zong of Handong University will participate as debaters.
