About the Artist
Seoyoung Park - Gayageum
Seoyoung is an international gayageum performer who has charmed audiences in Korea, and the UK. Following her graduation from the National Gugak High School and the Department of Korean Traditional Arts at Chung-Ang University, she is now pursing her master’s degree in performance at Royal Holloway, University of London. She has been invited to perform internationally at events such as the Taiwan Taoist Festival, and a performance at Teatro Torlonia in Rome, Italy.
Serving as a cultural bridge through music, Seoyoung has also showcased traditional music and contemporary works at venues in London including a special performance hosted by Korean Air. In 2021, she was awarded first prize in the ‘Art Agent Training Program’ hosted by Art Soombi. She has further expanded her artistic activities by releasing the single ‘Endless Cry’ and contributing to the gayageum ensemble album Soo (秀).
