In this dark moral fable, an unemployed man frustrated by his life is offered good money to do a very easy job. He just needs to go to a featureless building, sit at a desk, play music through his headphones, and pull numbered levers. But when he realises what the job is really about, will he still continue? Keep an eye on the use of smoke as a motif, both literal and symbolic.
