<Introducing Jindo-Buk Dance (Jindo-Drum Dance)>

The Jindo-Buk Dance is a traditional dance from the third largest island (Jindo) in South Korea, the dance gained popularity and fame by the work of the late Park Byung Cheon. This dance was made by creating and adding unique movements and special rhythms to the drums only, which was originally used as one of the instruments for Doore-gut when the music was played for farmers.

The Jindo-Drum Dance is composed of various tunes, a mixture of lineal and curved motions, with a rhythm that is not only light but also elegant and distinct.

Holding the drumsticks in both hands, the true beauty of this performance is in the splendid footwork that runs but stays and stays and turns.

If you are interested in Korean culture, Korean traditional drumming, or dance, or would just like to try something new and have some fun then please join us for this unique opportunity at the KCCUK. Open to all ages and skill levels.
