Discover the beauty of Korean heritage through hands-on traditional craft making. This two-day workshop offers participants the opportunity to learn the stories and symbolism behind Korea’s beloved folk crafts — and to create their own keepsakes to take home.

Programme

Day 1 – Thursday, 5 June (7:00 PM – 9:30 PM)

  • Stone Seal Carving: Design and carve your own name into a traditional Korean stone stamp, inspired by Korea’s unique seal culture.
  • Mini Sotdae Making: Craft a small wooden sotdae, a symbolic totem traditionally erected to guard villages and bring good fortune.

Day 2 – Friday, 6 June (7:00 PM – 9:30 PM)

  • Korean Ribbon (Daenggi) Craft: Weave and assemble a colourful daenggi, a traditional ribbon used in Korean hairstyles.
  • Janggu Keyring DIY: Make your own janggu-shaped keyring, reimagining the traditional Korean drum in miniature form.
