History of the Korean Alphabet Hangeul: Past, Present, and Future
This talk delves into the past, present, and future of the Korean alphabet, Hangeul. We will explore its linguistic characteristics, its origins, and its contemporary uses, as well as its evolving role in the age of AI. Participants will have the unique opportunity to engage with a Hangeul lecture in a virtual recreation of Gyeongbok Palace. Additionally, the presentation will feature an 18th-century Korean food recipe from the text Jeongjoji, authored by Joseon's renowned literati chef, Seo Yugu (1764-1845).
