2025 K-Pop World Festival: UK Round

The Korean Cultural Centre UK is pleased to announce that we will be holding the UK Regional Round for the 2025 Changwon K-Pop World Festival, scheduled to take place in October in Changwon, Korea.

We warmly invite all K-pop enthusiasts in the UK to take part in this exciting celebration of Korean music and performance culture with the possibility of performing in Korea later in the year.

- Eligibility
Must be a UK Resident
Participants must be over 18 years old.

- Categories & Selection
Dance Category: Either Solo or a Team
Vocal Category: Either Solo or Group

Judges will select 2x Winners from the Dance Category and 1x Winner from the Vocal Category.

- Important Dates
Application Deadline: 17:00, 25 July 2025
Results Announced: 17:00, 28 July 2025 via email to selected winners

- Submission Requirements for Each Category
Send the following to inhong.song@kccuk.org.uk by 17:00, 25 July 2025:

Two video files (or an accessible link):

(1) Performance Video
Entire Performance with clear lighting and audio

(2) Video Interview with each member
Interview in English

Including:
Name, nationality, age, occupation
Reason for Participation in the Contest
Reason for choice of song/dance routine
Favourite K-pop artist(s)
A message to the Judges
End the interview with: “2025 Changwon K-pop World Festival Coming Soon, Go for it!”

(3) Completed and Signed Application Form (Must be Signed by All members) (attached to the announcement email)

※ Please submit 3 files via an accessible link (e.g. Google Drive, WeTransfer, Dropbox etc.)

- Evaluation Criteria

Submissions will be judged upon their:
Expression and Skill(s)
Choreography/Composition/Synchronisation
Stage Presence and Charisma

Submissions will be assessed by an independent judging panel.

- K-Pop World Festival in Changwon, Korea

Winners of the various regional rounds across the world, including the UK will have their submission entered to possibly perform at the K-Pop World Festival in Changwon in October 2025.

Finalists for the K-Pop World Festival in Changwon will be selected from the winners of the global regional rounds by the City of Changwon and KBS, the hosts of the Festival.

※ Winning the UK Round does not guarantee participation in the K-Pop World Festival in October.

Selected Finalists for the K-Pop World Festival in Changwon in October will be offered travel and accommodation to Korea to participate in the Final.

The Festival will take place in October 2025 in Changwon.
