‘Korean Book Reading Day’ is a new discussion group that explores Korean Literature in its original language.

From March to June we will read and discuss various themes and topics related to 'Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982' by Cho Nam-Joo.

The Korean version of ‘Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982’ will be provided, please note that the reading will be in Korean and so we kindly ask that only those who can read Korean apply.

About the Author: Cho Nam-Joo

Cho Nam-Joo, is a former television scriptwriter whose novel Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982 became a hotly debated bestseller in South Korea when it was published in 2016. Cho’s book uses the story of one woman to reveal gender inequality in all parts of Korean society, from the privileging of male children to workplace discrimination and harassment.
