We are preparing for the second edition of Hallyu Con Live from London – which will be live streamed through our YouTube channel at 2pm on Saturday, 4 September – and would like to offer you the opportunity to be a part of the process!

To be a contributor, all you will need to do is share your thoughts on the Korean dramas and films that you love – be it ones you have watched recently or a while ago – through a short video. You can opt to record yourself answering a few questions and send us the recording or meet us at the Korean Cultural Centre UK building in central London and discuss them with us in person.

The final product will be collated, edited and showcased as part of our K-Drama/Film programme on the event day and those who submit their videos (or decide to join us for the in-person discussion) will be entered into a prize draw to win 1 of 2 K-Pop album and merchandise bundle.

What do I need to do?

To take part in this opportunity, please think about your answers to the following questions:

  1. When did you first start watching Korean dramas and/or films? What influenced you to do it?
  2. Which Korean drama and/or film has left the biggest impression on you? Why is that?
  3. If you had to recommend a Korean drama and/or film to a first timer, which one would it be and why? How would you convince them to watch it?
  4. How do you think subtitles reflect on Korean dramas and/or films’ appeal to the western audiences?
  5. What is the biggest difference between Korean dramas and/or films and those in your native language? In other words, what sets them apart - this can be anything from the storylines, OSTs to the types of characters, settings etc.?

How can I participate?

Once you have formulated your answers, please follow one of the steps below:

  1. If you would like to submit a self-recorded video, please record it and click here to submit it.
  2. If you would prefer to meet our friendly team in person, please click here to register your interest.

If you opt for the self-recording option, please read this short guide before recording, as it will ensure that your video can be added to the final content for the livestream.

Please note: If your video does not meet the standard quality requirements, unfortunately, we will not be able to use it for the livestream.

Please be as detailed and expressibe as possible when answering the questions.
