In a war against Turkey, Othello is taken prisoner with his lieutenant, Iago , and separated from his beloved wife, Desdemona. In jail, Othello cries out in agony. Iago struggles to convince him that Desdemona will be safe under the protection of Cassio, but Cassio’s reputation as a lady’s man haunts Othello. Unable to forgive Othello for passing him over for a promotion, Iago seeks revenge, making up a love story of Desdemona and Cassio. As Iago’s lies become more sinister, Othello...
