2022 Hanbok Wave

The Hanbok Wave fashion event will be held at the Korean Cultural Centre UK on 27th September to showcase the collection of 10 participating designers as part of the 2022 Hanbok Wave.

Hanbok Wave (The Hallyu Collaborative Content Planning and Development Project) is a project promoted by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Craft and Design Foundation. The aim of Hanbok Wave is to create hanbok products that can enter the global market whilst creating new values for Hallyu.

Yuna Kim, the figure skating queen and a true phenomenon of Hallyu culture is the 2022 Hanbok Wave’s muse. Her mission is to make the Hanbok style shine as a design object and reveal the unique qualities of the work through a Hanbok Wave collection that features 10 designers.
