Exhibition Overview

- Exhibition Title: 2025 New Year Exhibition

Eligibility

- Eligible Artists: Artists of Korean Heritage who would like to showcase their work in exhibition space at KCCUK

- Type and Size of Works: paintings, sculptures, installations, photography and video art etc.

Flat type: Maximum length within 170cm (pure artwork size), (recommended within 30kg)

Three-dimensional type: 1x1x1.9m, within 40kg (volume within 1.9㎥, maximum length within 1.9m)

Installation (variable type): Total installation space within 3x3x3m (volume within 27㎥), within 40kg per piece, maximum length within 1.9m

- Submission Limit: up to 2 works


Submission Guidelines

- Submission Deadline: 24th November 2024 11PM (BST)

- Required Documents: Artist CV, Work description (maximum 1500 characters), Biography (maximum 500 words), Portfolio (title, material, size, year of production, fill in technique rider if necessary, and up to 2 works with 3 or less images per work)

√ Please submit the application as one file in PDF format with images and video links (maximum 7MB) – Due to space constraints, video works will be looped in a projection space using a single projector.

√ Please do not send physical artworks on site for the application.

√ Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we cannot provide individual feedback nor return applications.


Selection Criteria and Process

- Selection Criteria: creativity, technical excellence as an artworks

- Selection Panel: A jury panel consisting of curators and visual art professionals

- Notification of Results: 13th December 2024

* KCCUK does NOT allow sales but only provides the artist’s contact details (if they agreed) to the collector to enable sales through direct communication between the collector and the artists and does not take any responsibility for the sale.


Additional information

- Participation Fee: Free

- Selected artworks must be transported by the artists themselves to KCCUK or shipped to arrive within the given deadline. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the artists, and failure to deliver the artworks within the specified timeframe may lead to being unable to participate in the exhibition.
