2026 Korean Language Speaking Contest

The Korea Times will hold its third Korean Language Speaking Contest.

1. Summer internship opportunity at The Korea Times (available to award winners only)

Step 1. Choose a competition category

A. Speaking

- Choose one between a free topic or a designated topic

*Designated topics can be accessed by scanning the QR code

- Choose one format: Long-form (2 minutes to 3 minutes 30 seconds) or Short-form (under 1 minute)

B. Pronunciation

- Record a video of yourself reading the provided Korean text within 1 minute

*Pronunciation Challenge text can be accessed by scanning the QR code

Step 2. Upload your video

- Upload a public post on one platform: YouTube / TikTok / Instagram / Facebook / Bilibili

*Required hashtags must be included in the video title or description: #thekoreatimes #koreanspeakingagent

Step 3. Submit the application form

- Complete and submit the application form via the QR code provided.

- Foreign nationals

- Overseas Koreans who are not native Korean speakers

Application Period: Feb. 26-May 7

Announcement of Winners: May 26

Award Ceremony: June 4 (Tentative)

Publication of winners: Winners will be announced in The Korea Times (print & online) and on the Korean Speaking Agent Youtube channel.
